history Evie Jane Nicholls, born and raised (for the most part) in Chicago. She had the upbringing of any normal kid in her neighborhood, parents seemed like they hated each other, some other kid was better than you but you were better than the next kid and so on. Evie's father had got himself caught up in the wrong crowd dealing in drugs, weapons, even people. Of cause he kept this part of his life far from his family, he didn't want them to know where they were getting the sudden large amounts of money, he just told them he got a promotion at work and now he got a lot more money, but of cause he didn't have a job he was fired months beforehand and was desperate. It wasn't rare for Evie to overhear her parents fight and argue about things, mostly involving her. It never bothered her since it was an everyday happening in her life. but one night would change everything.
It was just like every other night, her parents were arguing, their voices getting louder. The only thing that was different was that the door was bashed down and three people were murdered. As soon as the door was bashed in, Evie was scared, she was only eight at the time, and she immediately hid under then bed in her parents' room since it was the only one she could get under. Instinctively, her mother ran to find her, but when she couldn't, she ran into her room to get the gun that they always had for protection. But before she could leave the room Evie's father ran in yelling something about the gun, he had seemed to forget that he had a daughter because he wasn't worrying about her missing at all. After a few gunshots and bodied landing on the floor, people left and it wasn't until after the police had arrived and were searching for her that Evie came out and was found.
After witnessing the murder of her parents, she was sent to Seattle to live with an aunt, who was overly supportive and helpful, it was just what she needed. Her aunt was one of those people who you could talk to about anything, no matter who you are and what it is, even if you had killed someone she would listen and not tell a soul. Evie spent the next six years with this aunt and a cousin, until her cousin decided to move to Violet Hill, Evie went with her with the idea that she should get out and go somewhere else. They have been in Violet Hill for about a year now, and Evie is still haunted of memories of the day she lost her parents to so dicks who thought that it would be fun to rob the Nicholls' family home, that was the story that she was told anyway, when really it was a few guys from the guy that her father worked for coming to settle some business, and her mother wasn't supposed to be involved, and neither was Evie.
